Sheltered 2 Wiki:Wiki rules

From Sheltered 2 Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

It might be a lawless wasteland outside of the shelter, but inside, we have some rules. Oxygen and resources in the shelter are limited - so if you can't be kind and follow them - you may find yourself exiled.

The law of the land
Do not post content that is against local or international law, or that is against the wiki.gg Terms of Service
Please be civil
We're all survivors here (except those pesky machines). Treat each other as such. Do not make personal attacks on each other. If you need to be critical (whether it be of discussion or someones additions to the wiki), do so in a polite way. We don't need any mood debuffs here.
Treatment of others
Any recruit is welcome in the shelter, no matter their stats, needs, background, beliefs, or tastes. We're all just trying to survive this harsh world - bigotry, prejudice and intolerance are unacceptable.
Productivity in the wiki
You don't have to actively contribute to reap the rewards of survival in the shelter, but if you wish to, please do so in line with the established processes and conventions set out by the survivors who came before you. If you need assistance - please ask an administrator or join us on the Sheltered 2 Discord in the #wiki channel.
Edit wars
Healthy competition is key to survival in the wasteland, but wars are how we got here to begin with. Please do not participate in 'edit wars' with other contributors. This refers to repeated re-editing, undo or other ongoing interference with contributions by other people. If there is a problem, please bring it up with an administrator or moderator.
Self-promotion
We all work together to keep the shelter running and as useful as possible, but we don't need survivors putting graffiti on the walls telling us how awesome they are. Please do not advertise yourself (or anything unrelated to the wiki) here. This refers to unrelated games, your website, YouTube channels, streaming services and social media. If you have a special case and would like to know if you are allowed to advertise, please contact an administrator.
Harassment
Survivors should be allowed to be left alone if they want to, do not harass each other. This includes things such as unwanted contact (if someone has asked you to leave them alone) or following a survivors contributions and editing or vandalising them deliberately.
Spoilers
Survivors should be able to explore the wiki freely without risk of gameplay or story elements being spoiled for them. While spoilers will be aplenty, they should be optional and kept hidden by default. See the documentation for what this means.
